Looking skywards was something I did at my Grandfathers house which was under a hang gliding launch. My Grandfather was a ex WWII pilot and we used to talk about it all the time until I had enough money and time where I did my PPL in Australia. Life changes saw location leaning toward a high level yacht racing period but I never stopped watching. One day I said to my wife I was going to research it and do it! 2012 In Verbier Switzerland I did my CP course but time torn between yacht races slowed my getting into it until I went to Annecy for my first SIV in 2014 building my confidence on a new Tala. Then I was hooked. While I am still learning my flying has come along way with 2015 seeing a year of every time off going somewhere to fly. In total over 200hrs in this year alone and having the problem that I can fly better than launch. More hours in the air than flights. Sailing has helped my sailing with a cross transfer of skill.
2015 finished top 10 in DHV Challenge.

Flight to Solong from Bir and finding out one of the other pilots I flew with was a former XApls pilot. Best flight ever and it will be very hard to top.
