I started flying with my father when I turned 18. My father taught me how to fly and have been a fan of the sport ever since. As a child I always wanted to fly with birds. As I grew up, understanding the sky and being a part of its system is a thrill I would never want to give up. The sport on a geographic scale has led me to fly loads of sites in India. It took me to California and Turkey. My best adventure in flying was exploring all the different sites around SB, California while i was an apprentice instructor at Eagle Paragliding for two summers in 2022 and 2023. My favourite flight was a 70km from Bir – my PB. It was my first month or XC flying and it opened up a whole new world of paragliding for me and showed me how much is possible on a paraglider. I am still working my way up to a national record in paragliding, but i do have a national record in roller speed skating in 2015! I was part of the organisation committee in the Panchgani Pre-PWC this year so only got to fly a couple of the tasks, but I intend to fly the Bir comp this year. My flying goals are quite simple really:fly as far as i can in XC, and try to get better and better at competitions. I will start competing more in India and eventually I hope to compete in other countries as well. My life outside the sport is quite an adventurous one involving all the other sports I play (mentioned above). My father is a paragliding pilot too so we fly together quite a bit. I just finished my Masters in psychology and am focused on sports psychology as a career path, something I believe has greatly helped my flying all these years.
