Alanya in Turkey was the venue for the last competition of the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup series 2022. It is one of the most accurate rounds with the lowest points scored, reports Matjaž Ferarič, because the laminar winds and beach landings make for pretty optimal conditions.
ADAM pilots featured multiple times in the Top Ten, with the best performances coming from Estonia's Jevgeni Jartsev and Saudi Arabia's Nawaf Al-Rehaili who, together with three other pilots, came joint third with 6 points scored each. The winner was the current European champion George Cotet from Romania, with a combined score of just 3cm in six landings.
Marketa Tomaškova (Czech Republic) came second in the women's competition, flying her ADAM. She scored 12 points overall, putting her three points behind the winner, Eunyong Cho of South Korea.
Alanya was the last competition in the 2022 series. The Superfinal will take place in Saudi Arabia in January, with the top 30 pilots qualifying to take part.
