Claire wins French 2021-2022 hike-and-fly league

The French Hike and Fly league closed on 30 September, and Claire Garnesson won the women's category with three great days out with her Riot in the southern French alps.

The hike and fly league rewards metres gained by hiking, and kilometres flown, and pilots can hike-fly-hike-fly-hike etc as many times as they like within a day, as long as flights respect sunrise and sunset times.

Claire's three outings that counted were:

Hike 5.9km with 769m vert
Fly 98.8km
Hike 4km with 975m vert
Fly 11.3km

That’s an impressive tally of 2,733m vertical metres hiked and 117.4km flown in one day and some ground covered!
