Smiles all round at SRS – BGD Edition 2023

The BGD edition of the Sports-Class Racing Series 2023 went off in Pedro Bernardo, Spain with a happy screaming vario and a roomful of smiles from 10-16 September.

Three tasks were flown, including the longest of the series yet – a 102.3km race-to-goal on 13 Sep; the other two tasks were 75.9km and 54.1km.

Matthijs Groenveld of the Netherlands won overall, ahead of Mate Nagy and BGD test pilot Tyr Goldsmith, flying the Lynx 2. Tyr won the Reynolds category too.

Rafael Rosa Prat won a brand new BGD paraglider in the prize draw – he chose a Lynx 2 in Java colours, and Dani Martinez won the Naviter Oudie N+.
