Pekka started flying in 2001, realising a dream of flying like a bird. Paragliding has taken him to many different places, and brought him many wonderful friends and adventures that he would not otherwise have had. He says his most memorable flights involve landing in remote areas. He loves the friendly attitude of people towards paragliders. An XC and competition pilot, he dreams of flying 500km in Finland – his current record is 420km! He also like hike-and-fly, vol-biv and paramotoring, and says his wife, two children and three grandchildren all support his passion for flying. He chose BGD because "they make the most beautiful wings!"
