Congratulations to ADAM pilot Marketa Tomaskova (Czech Republic), who was first female/third overall at the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup round that finished in Slovenia on 23rd September.
In all there were three BGD wings in the top six, with Matjaz Feraric finishing equal fourth on a WASP with Gorjan Djurkovic (Skywalk); they were just one point behind Marketa; Fanola Shala (Kosovo, ADAM) was sixth.
It was an exciting final round that changed the podium around. Matjaz Feraric and Goran Djurkovic had been joint leaders on 10cm each as they went into the sixth and final round. They scored 8cm each, which knocked them off the podium and into joint fourth place. Eduard Daci (Ozone), Vlastimil Kricnar (Axis para) and Marketa finished strongly on 1cm, 2cm and 3cm respectively to take the top three spots.
Serbia was the winning team, ahead of Papillon and the Czech Republic.
One round remains of the 2022 World Cup series. It will be held in Alanya, Turkey from 19th October.
