Chris came to paragliding from trail running, when a paraglider flying low overhead startled him, then impressed him as it thermalled up and flew away. He knew straight away that he had to do this sport and booked a course the next day. Since then he has become a self-confessed addict to all things flying. He was a trainee instructor in New Zealand then flew Australia, the French Alps and southern Spain. He has also learned to paramotor, and is enjoying working on his acro / freestyle. He also flies tandem, so he can take his young son flying. A long-term paragliding goal is to fly across the Pyrenees, and he has some paramotor journeys up his sleeve as well. He’s also madly into kitesurfing, plays the drums and likes going to gigs.
