The 6th edition of BGD Weightless takes place from 2-8 August 2025 at Laragne-Montéglin, France.
Organised by the Chabre Club with Karlis Jaunpetrovics (Flying Karlis) as the safety director, BGD Weightless is a friendly competition where smaller pilots can compete on smaller gliders, without the need to carry loads of ballast or size-up a wing in order to stand a chance of winning.
We’ve been developing the MRT (Multiple Radius Turnpoints) scoring system for several years now, and this year it has been further enhanced.
All pilots fly the same course, but lighter pilots (lower all-up weights) have larger turnpoint radii to compensate for their natural disadvantage.
Open to glider classes up to and including EN D (prizes for B, C and D categories).
