Andrea Sartori

italy

Ever since he was a child Andrea has been fascinated by flying, and hearing his father's tales of hang gliding made him fall in love with it. He always dreamed of flying alone, but for one reason or another he did not get his licence until 2017, when he moved to Trento for a new job. That's when his journey as a pilot really started! As soon as he got his licence he immediately felt the need to push his limits, first with XC flights in the Trento and Bassano area, then with XC competitions at Italian national level. Just two years later, in 2019, he started his career as a hike-and-fly athlete. In 2021 he was selected, along with 55 other athletes for the first edition of the Pre-alpiTour, and he crossed the finish line in seventh position. He has always competed with a BGD wing, first the Riot, and then he moved up a category and now flies the Cure 2. Meeting other BDG pilots on take-offs or landings and being able to share flying experiences and opinions, laughing and drinking beers with friends has always made him feel at home. Together with a couple of friends he is starting a hike-and-fly project in collaboration with Rudy Project.
