BGD Team Pilot Vagner Campos flew 421.73km on his DIVA 2 from Ribeira de Pombal in Bahia, Brazil on 21 December 2024, a new state record!
He launched at 7:16 local time and flew from east to west for 11 hours. Ribeira de Pombal is a little-known hill-launch site in the state of Bahia. Its topography is less well suited to long-distance paragliding than the more famous sites to the north, and this is the first time the 400km barrier has broken in the state.
