Congratulations to Yang Chen, Paragliding Accuracy World Champion 2025, and Marketa Tomaskova, women’s vice Champion.
The 13th paragliding accuracy world championships were held in Alanya, Turkey from 9-19 October 2025, with 138 pilots taking part and 12 rounds flown.
BGD was really well represented with a squad of team pilots (shout out to Yang Chen, Shun Hamada, John Edouard Gomez, Lucie Martinkova, Marketa Tomaskova, Mohammad Reyhani, Nathalia Pinzon, Pilar Montero, Victor Rodriguez and Sue Britnell) and all the other ADAM SPOT pilots.
Not surprisingly in a World Championships, the leval was incredibly high. "2cm would be a bad score", Moncho (Victor Rodriguez) remarked. World Champion Yang Chen scored four perfect 0cm scores (that means his first point of contact was right in the absolute centre spot of the target), and a further seven 1cm scores.
Along with his individual and team golds, Yang Chen was officially presented with trophies for his World records, which were ratified earlier this year (5x consecutive perfect-zero scores, and 23 x consecutive sub-5cm scores), during the closing ceremony.
