João Pedro Pinheiro is an aspiring professional paragliding pilot and a professional filmmaker who loves all kind of nature and radical sports. Born in Porto, north of Portugal, João started flying with his father in 2009. For almost 10 years he followed his father’s paragliding trips all around Portugal and Spain where he fell in love with the beauty of the sport. By that time he was already groundhandling a small paraglider. Later he got his pilot license when he was legally old enough for the sport. He learned to fly under a Airwave wing, so could not pass up the chance to be part of the BGD Team Pilots and fly Bruce's gliders again. He was later introduced to XC competitions in the Portuguese Paragliding Championship 2022, Serra do Larouco, Montalegre, where he got his place as wind dummy. Besides Paragliding, João works in the filmmaking industry and his goal is to shoot documentaries on paragliding adventures.
