Russ has been an avid aviation enthusiast since he was 6 years old. From RC aircraft to kites (he made his own kitesurf board and foil board, and he races kite buggies). He started flying gliders in 2013, had his silver pilot rating and moved onto aerobatics, then found paragliding while on holiday in Tenerife. He’s flown paragliders in the UK, Tenerife and the south of France, and competed in the British Club Challenge. He has captained the Skysurfer Club team in the BCC, and won the ‘spirit of the BCC award’. Future aims are “for the planets to align to get that first 100km flight”. He’s also waiting for parakite slalom racing to become a thing!
