Raphael Ehrsam, Nadia, Maxime and Arnaud Kaiser are an action-loving, flying-mad family from Switzerland. They love being out in nature, and head off in their camper van whenever they can, in search of adventure. Mum Nadia (@nad_in_the_air) started flying in 1991 and loves to combine flying with hiking or skiing. She competes in vol et ski, and finished 2nd woman and 16th overall (out of 120 participants) at the Vol et Ski in Zinal, in 2025. She flies a Breeze for XC, and a Kiss for hike-and-fly. Dad Raphael (@flying_chickens) is a keen wildlife photographer, who takes awesome photos of the true masters of the air – the vultures and eagles. He’s hoping one day to be lucky enough to photograph a wolf. Raphael learned to fly in 2021, racking up 400 flights in his first two years. He also flies a Breeze, and an Anda for hike-and-fly and vol-et-ski. They share their passion with sons Maxime and Arnaud, who are both sports mad. Maxime (17) is a polytechnics apprentice, and Arnaud (16) is still at school. The family look after the Cabane Arpittettaz in the summer, and enjoy flying down en famille :-) Their little dog Nilou also has more than 200 flights to her name!
