Steina has suffered from the flying bug for as long as she can recall! Starting with powered flight, she obtained a pilot license, but it was hard to find work with it. For a long time, she had her eyes set on hang gliding, but when she finally had the money and means to study free flight, paragliding had taken over in her home country. During the beginner course, Steina met her partner in crime, Tereza, it is rare to mention one and not the other. Icelandic weather and its thermalling opportunities often leave something to be desired, so they try to travel to places that keep their thermalling skills up to date. So far, the list of destinations includes Italy, Morocco, Tenerife, Slovenia, and Macedonia, and there are plenty more on the wish list!
