Mamen, a spirited Spanish professional woman pilot who has carved a unique path in the world of paragliding. Mamen's journey into the skies began as an alternative to her dream of skydiving due to cost constraints. In 2017, she embarked on her paragliding course, and from that first flight, she was utterly captivated. Paragliding quickly became her passion, and she couldn't resist the urge to soar through the skies. Her dedication earned her the nickname "the flying site's resident" among tandem pilots. In 2019, Mamen decided to take her paraglider and embark on a worldwide adventure. Her journey led her to New Caledonia, Bali, Lombok, Java, and beyond, exploring diverse paragliding experiences and making friends in the global paragliding community. Her adventures brought her to Indonesia, where she even joined an accuracy competition and continued to improve her paragliding skills. As the pandemic hit in 2020, Mamen found herself in Bali, where she continued to enjoy the sport she loves. Upon her return to Spain, Mamen pursued her tandem pilot license and discovered her trusted companion, the BGD Dual2 glider, known for its ease of handling, soft brakes, and striking colors. With her newfound skills and equipment, Mamen is setting her sights on more serious XC (cross-country) flying, exploring France and various regions in Spain. Her dedication to promoting women in XC competitions has inspired her to be part of the Spanish federation's efforts to motivate and support women in the sport.
