“I was born in Slovakia (former Czechoslovakia) and defected to Germany with my family in 1989. In 1991 we emigrated from Germany to the U.S.A. and we have been living in Southern California ever since. I was introduced to paragliding through my dad in 2012. He began taking lessons at Andy Jackson Airpark in 2014 and became very passionate about the sport. He wanted everyone in his life to have the experience via tandems, in hopes that we would want to learn to fly solo someday. At the time I believed that I was not suited for it, because I did not believe in myself. Long story short, a few years later in 2017 I learned to fly solo after working very hard to override all my natural survival instincts and I also fell in love with the sport! It changed my life in multiple ways, helped me grow my self confidence considerably and proved to me that with baby steps almost anything is achievable. I haven’t stopped thinking about paragliding ever since! My first wing was a gorgeous BDG Epic 2, then the BGD Base 2, and now I’m reaching new heights and distances with the new and amazing BGD Lynx 2! I have not participated in any competitions yet, but who knows what the future holds for me! My hope is that my flying journey will inspire others to believe in themselves and start living their dream! Give yourself a chance and don’t be afraid to fail. Compete against yourself first and foremost. It will take you farther than you ever believed possible.”
